  • What is academic credential evaluation?
Our evaluations serve a range of purposes, including: Academic advancement General employment considerations Immigration requirements Military enlistment Professional certification Each evaluation report details the foreign academic document(s) received, the period of study, issuance dates of these documents, the awarded degree(s)/title(s), and draws a parallel to similar U.S. academic standards. Given the inherent discrepancies between educational systems internationally and that of the U.S., it's important to note that our evaluations may not directly equate to an identical number of credits, duration of study, or specific degrees/titles as those awarded in the country of origin. Clients are responsible for verifying that the institution or body they are submitting our evaluation to accepts Credentialis assessments and to ascertain the specific type of evaluation they require.
  • Why do I need an academic credential evaluation?
You may need an academic credential evaluation for several reasons, including applying for further education, seeking employment, or obtaining a professional license in the United States. An evaluation helps demonstrate the value and equivalency of your foreign academic achievements.
  • How do I submit my documents to Credentialis?
You are responsible for obtaining and submitting your own documents. Credentialis cannot request documents on your behalf. The most used method to submit documents is via post or courier. Many institutions now can submit documents to us electronically as well. If you do not have original documents, contact the issuing institution to have official records sent to Credentialis (info@credentialis.com). If you are sending us your original documents, please contact us for our mailing address.
  • How can I confirm that you have received my documents?
To ensure the safe arrival of your original documents, we highly recommend opting for a mailing service that offers tracking capabilities. Before sending any documents to our office, it's crucial that you send us an email detailing the submission. This step is vital as it allows us to associate the incoming documents with your file and understand the services you require. Without this preliminary email, we're unable to link the documents to their owner, complicating our ability to contact you and process your request. Upon the receipt of your documents, we commit to notifying you via email within 2 business days to confirm the status of your documents. For this communication, please use an email address you regularly check to avoid missing our updates. Should your tracking information indicate that your documents have been delivered, yet you haven't received confirmation from us within 3 business days, we advise you to first check your spam or junk mail folder for our email. If you find no communication from us, we encourage you to reach out to our team directly at info@credentialis.com for assistance. Please be aware that discrepancies between the name used in your email and the documents can lead to difficulties in matching your documents to your request. To avoid such issues, ensure the information you provide is consistent across your communications and submissions.
  • Will you return my original documents to me?
Yes, all original documents are returned to you with your completed evaluation, unless the documents are determined to be tampered with, fraudulent, or inauthentic. Official documents, those that were submitted directly to Credentialis by the issuing institution and/or in a officially sealed or stamped envelope, will not be returned as these documents become property of Credentialis once opened by us.
  • How long does it take for the evaluation to be completed?
As our volume fluctuates and each case is different, no guarantees can be given for an exact date of completion for regular files. However, the standard time (non-peak season) for completion of services is approximately 3 weeks once all documents have been received and all fees have been paid. During the peak season processing may take up to 4 weeks. If your file requires verification the time frame is dependent on the response time of the verifying institution and no time frame can be given.
  • Payment Options
All fees paid are only refundable within the 24h after payment. Fees are not refundable when clients cancel services previously requested for any reason. Pre-payment of evaluation and translation fees are required before we can review documents for evaluation. Payment method can be through digital methods as: Zelle / PayPal / CashApp / Venmo, or via credit card ($6.00 service fee will be included). In some cases, we may decline to provide services to the client. If so, we will maintain a $25 application fee for the review and processing of the file in addition to mailing fees to return any original documents.
  • How long do you keep my records on file?
Upon completion of the evaluation, physical documents are promptly disposed of, but electronic records are preserved indefinitely. This enables you to request extra copies or updates to your evaluation whenever needed. Please note, in exceptional cases, records older than five years may not be available. Additionally, we retain the flexibility to modify our records retention policies in the future.
  • Can I request extra copies of my evaluation?
Absolutely! You're welcome to order additional official copies whenever you need them. Each copy is available for $55, plus applicable delivery fees. How can I request more copies? Simply send us your request via email. What is the processing time for additional copies? If you're ordering additional copies after your evaluation has been completed, please expect a processing time of 1 to 5 business days. It's important to note that we do not provide expedited processing for orders of extra copies. If you place an order for extra copies while your initial evaluation is still in progress, we'll ensure these additional copies are prepared and sent out with your original evaluation.
  • How can I add new documents to an evaluation Report that has already been completed?
Clients are welcome to submit additional documents for inclusion in a previously completed evaluation. Please be advised that additional fees will apply for this service. Should the newly submitted documents correspond to the completion of another degree, a fee of $89.00 will be incurred.
  • What if I have questions regarding the outcome of the evaluation?
Can I raise concerns if the evaluation results don't meet my expectations? At Credentialis Evaluators, we uphold a transparent and open policy for discussing the results of our evaluations. Our commitment to professionalism and integrity ensures that every document is evaluated with honesty and diligence. We recognize that there may be instances where the results of an evaluation may not align with the client's expectations. It's important to understand that our evaluations are conducted according to our professional standards and are not influenced by the anticipated outcomes of our clients. Due to the inherent differences between educational systems in the U.S. and other countries, it's possible that the evaluation may not directly translate to an equivalent number of credits, duration of study, grades, or degrees as originally awarded. If you have any concerns about the results of your evaluation, you are encouraged to communicate them to us in writing by sending an email to info@credentialis.com. We will re-examine your file in light of your feedback. However, please be reminded that our evaluation process adheres strictly to our professional criteria and is not swayed by client expectations.
  • What if I find a mistake on the evaluation/translation I receive?
What should I do if I spot an error in my evaluation or translation? Should you notice any errors in your evaluation or translation, please inform us by submitting a detailed written explanation of the perceived error to info@credentialis.com within a 30-day period. Upon verification of the error's validity, we will provide a corrected evaluation or translation without any extra charges.
